Root Division is a visual arts non-profit that was founded in 2002. Their mission revolves around fostering community through art education, exhibitions, and artist studios. Root Division is hosting a summer exhibition called “With Open Eyes” that centers around themes of Afro- futurism, showcasing work by Black artists that challenge stereotypes and redefine notions of Blackness and utopia. 

To promote the event, Root Division approached TBD* for help creating a design identity that includes email/social media graphics, and an exhibition catalog. They need a unique and flexible design system that can be modified for future exhibitions, so they can have a standardized visual language moving forward.
